[Azure Japan] Data Platform infrastructure upgrade - October 8th Oct 7, 2026 17:00-23:00 CEST
We will migrate the Data Platform compute nodes to a newer generation of Azure virtual machines. Capacity, performance and configuration remain unchanged; this is a hardware refresh carried out ahead of the retirement of the current machine generation.
During the window, services are moved progressively onto the new nodes and each component restarts once. Expect brief interruptions of a few minutes on individual services rather than a full outage. Two impacts are worth planning for:
* Jobs and pipelines running when the migration starts will be interrupted. Please schedule them to complete before 00:00 JST or plan them after the window.
* Notebook sessions will be closed. Save your work before 00:00 JST; unsaved notebook state will be lost.
No action is required from users beyond the two points above. We will update this page when the maintenance starts and when it completes.
